Scope and provider

This page sets out website-use information and explains app purchases. Provider: Johanna Hoppe, Baccumer str.19, 49808 Lingen, Germany. It is not a custom app EULA, a contract formed merely by visiting the website, or a replacement for mandatory consumer law.

App license and purchases

These website terms do not replace the app license or Apple’s purchase terms. Unless a separate custom license applies to your App Store listing, Apple’s standard end-user license agreement governs app use. JustPDF starts with up to 3 PDFs; the optional Pro unlock is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Free allowance and Pro features

The current free allowance is 3 document imports in total, including linked files and Markdown. Deleting a document does not reset the counter. Pro removes the app’s import-count limit and includes PDF export, encrypted PDF transfer, PDF creation/content editing and optional iCloud sync. Available device storage still limits use. Some features need a compatible source document, and purchase validation or cloud services may require internet access. Check the actual purchase screen before payment.

A one-time or lifetime unlock refers to the Pro entitlement, not unlimited storage, guaranteed cloud availability, a document-recovery service, or an exclusion of statutory rights.

Consumer rights, withdrawal and refunds

The applicable regional App Store terms and purchase confirmation identify the purchase arrangements. Refund requests for App Store payments can be submitted through Apple’s refund service. Eligibility depends on applicable law and the purchase circumstances; a refund is not promised here.

Mandatory rights concerning defects, applicable updates and withdrawal remain unaffected. Visiting this website or using a Restore Purchases button does not itself waive a statutory withdrawal right. Where early delivery of digital content requires express consent and acknowledgment of loss of the right, that must be handled in the actual lawful purchase flow, not inferred from this information page.

Documents, editing and backups

You retain your rights in your document content. Importing, processing or reporting an issue does not grant the provider a general right to publish or market your documents. Only open, edit and share documents you are entitled to use. Keep originals before editing or uninstalling. PDF edits and OCR recognition may need checking; the app is not a guarantee of legal validity, permanent archiving, successful redaction or forensic erasure.

Export and encrypted transfer require Pro. Normal export does not add a transfer password. App deletion, synchronization, an enabled failed-attempt erase setting and missing codes can result in data loss; these practical cautions do not exclude statutory liability. Details of local data, cloud copies and deletion are in the JustPDF privacy policy.

Use, copyright and external links

Use the website in accordance with applicable law. Do not interfere with its operation or misuse its infrastructure. Ordinary search indexing and AI crawling are permitted. Text, screenshots and design are protected by copyright where applicable; statutory exceptions remain unaffected. External sites are operated by their respective providers.

Liability, applicable law and licenses

Statutory liability rules apply. Mandatory consumer protection, required digital-product updates and liability that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected. No blanket “as is”, “no liability” or unilateral loss of paid rights is created by these website terms. These website-use rules do not override the governing-law rules of the applicable app license or mandatory protection in your place of residence.

Open-source components are governed by their respective licenses; those rights are not restricted by this page. Website design and screenshots are protected where applicable, subject to statutory exceptions.
